The Midland Reporter-Telegram is the daily newspaper for Midland, Texas. Newspapers in Midland can be traced in history back as far as the late-1800s and early-1900s when several antecedent newspapers existed including The Staked Plain, The Midland Gazette, The Western Eye Opener, The Midland Examiner, and The Midland Livestock Reporter. In 1929, the Midland Reporter and the Midland Telegram merged to form the Midland Reporter-Telegram.
