dc.description | Newspapers in Brackettville in Kinney County, Texas date back to the 1880s when a newspaper by the name of the Fort Clark Weekly News was published for several years. It is likely that this newspaper eventually changed names to the Brackett News at some point in the 1880s, and continued to be published under this name until 1906 or 1907 when the newspaper combined with another local newspaper, the Brackett Mail. The newspaper was published as the Brackett News-Mail through and up to the 1950s where eventually the newspaper changed names to the Kinney County News. Other titles for this newspaper include the Kinney County Post, the Kinney Cavalryman, and the Brackettville News. | |
